When one looks at TOCA one cannot imagine what it has behind the scenes. TOCA is a dream that came true for both owners (whom we are going to nominate here as C and P). C is a girl from Salvador, who came all the way to Ireland to study English and dive into Irelands culture and lifestyle. It was in Dublin where she met her partner, not only in business but also in life.

She grew up seeing her grandmother, uncle and aunt working tirelessly making tapiocas and loads of food made from cassava flour, on a humble farm in Brazil. Here, they cultivate mandioca (the vegetable which we make the flour of our tapiocas from), where they harvest and follow the whole process to get the tapioca flour.

P, an Irish boy, originally from Dublin, fell in love with Açaí after trying the Brazilian rich berries. He opened his first business producing and selling Açaí sorbet in Ireland. Now after going through the pandemic even though the moment did not seem to be appropriate to open a new venture, P, C & their team worked together and opened TOCA on the 2nd of April 2021. A place, built from the ground up with sustainability in mind.

TOCA is an eco and pet friendly eatery where people from all walks of life can feel at home and enjoy Tapioca Wraps, Organic Açaí and Dragon Fruit Bowls, speciality coffee and also lovely treats.

If you have never heard about Tapioca, let us explain... Tapioca is made from a vegetable called Cassava which is indigenous to South America. It is a delicious gluten free alternative, packed full of calcium, contains no saturated fat and is very easy for the body to digest. It’s getting really popular not only in South America but also around the world.

C. and P. are excited to be able to bring this goodness to all the lovely people here in Ireland. Our wish is for everyone to be welcome to our home, our TOCA.
